The following directions should get you from anywhere on the major highways in Connecticut to the Geology and Geophysics Department.

Airlines, Trains, Limo Service, and More Travel Information

Kline Geology Laboratory, Yale University, 210 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, Connecticut, lies at the junction of Interstate 95 and Interstate 91. There are different approaches depending on where you are coming from.

APPROACHES FROM THE EAST OR WEST: Take Interstate 95 to the junction with northbound Interstate 91. Travel a short distance north on 91 and exit at the Trumbull Street exit (EXIT 3) which will take you beneath the freeway and to the west. Continue on Trumbull until the second light where you turn north on Whitney. Follow Whitney to the second light (Humphrey Street) and turn left into the large parking area. You will have just passed Kline Geology Lab (modern brick building, three stories) on the left.

APPROACH FROM THE NORTH: Travel south on Interstate 91 passing through Hartford and ending at New Haven. Leave the freeway at the State Street exit. At the bottom of the off-ramp, turn right on Humphrey Street. Continue through 3 traffic lights, the last of which will be a T intersection with Whitney. Do not turn, just continue across the intersection into the parking area. Kline Geology Lab will be on your left.

PARKING: When you arrive, leave your car anywhere practical, and come upstairs to the Business office 303 KGL. We will get you a parking permit and show you where to park.
